Most city services can be accessed at www.lacity.org, the official city web site. You can also call
311 for city services and information. The 311 system was set up so that callers would get help
from only one operator and wouldn't be transferred from department to department. Give it a try.
It's usually very dependable. You can also use the search feature to the left which is linked to the
city's web site.

Glassell Park falls under the jurisdiction of the Northeast Division. Morris Smith is the Captain of the Northeast Division. The area is further
broken down and assigned to Senior Lead Officers. Our Sr. Lead Officers, or "SLO" for short, are Robert "Red" Falconer and Joe Galindo.

In addition to fire engines, Company 50 also maintains a state-of-the-art
ambulance.

The Glassell Park Recreation center is located at 3650 N. Verdugo Road, just down the street from the Community and Senior Center.
The center offers a full schedule of year-round sports for our youth including Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, Swimming, and Tennis. In
addition the Rec Center has afterschool programs, dance classes, Yoga classes and more. For more information call (323) 257-1863.

The Glassell Park Child Care Center is located around the corner from the Rec Center at 2727 Crestmoore Place, Los
Angeles, CA 90065. The phone number is (323) 341-5682. The child care center is open Monday - Friday from 7 AM to 6 PM
and offers licensed child care for 56 children. Pick up service from local schools is available and programs are integrated with
the Glassell Park Recreation Center and pool.
